Fifth Emergency Environmental Health Forum
Focus on Public Health Promotion

The Emergency Environmental Health Forum (EEHF) brings together a wide circle of agencies, practitioners and academics to share learning, research and development projects within the sector by means of presentations, discussions and workshops.
The focus in this, the 5th EEH forum, is the Public Health Promotion (PHP) aspect of water and sanitation programmes. Presentations on this theme address topics such as new technologies and hygiene promotion, menstrual hygiene management, metrics for assessing the impact of hygiene promotion activities and Community Led Total Sanitation in the emergency environment. The forum will also include presentations on lessons learnt more widely in the sector.
The forum will be followed by a separate one day event organised by the Hygiene Promotion Forum. The day will focus on hand washing and practitioners and hygiene promoters will share examples of hardware solutions used in the field for hand washing, share learning on best practice on promotion of hand washing, learn more about social marketing and discuss future research questions.
